Character Notes -
Because Dio, out of all their siblings, was the only one who ever recognized Lucian's potential. After Dio escaped from Delphine's punishment to finish his task of returning the Spear of Destiny to her Lucian went out to search for him. Since he wouldn't be able to use any of Delphine's ships he had to use the Gates to quickly cross the lands. Each time he stepped out he searched around for a hint of Dio's power in the air. But, he was always unsucessful. Lucian was surprised to find the Gate in a city called Miragon was allready under the watch of some of the drek. However surprising Lucian one of these undeserving were able to capture him. Since that time his entire world has been a four foot radius sphere of anti-magic. It took some time but Sebastian was able to finally get some answers from Lucian including the locations of some other Gates. Hating his captor with a passion Lucian gave him only enough information to make it seem that he was helping but also gave many false statements. There would be no way that Delphine would seek him out so he either had to get out under his own power or hope Dio could find him. When Lucian was released he wanted revenge on the man who trapped him in the anti-magic bubble but found many little snacks to feed his hunger for destruction. It was some sort of celebration and when he took down those six guards he reveled in hearing the screams of everyone around. There was only one slight annoyance and that was Kai and Enutrof who were able to stand against his attacks for longer than a round. His eyes then caught a tiny little morsal cowering behind a pillar and he went directly at her. Slicing through a pillar his cleaver was stopped by Dio because he said, "Not her because she's my friend. She helped me out and watched over my body" Lucian couldn't believe what he was hearing and from Dio of all people. Now he understood why Delphine had Dio imprissoned for those three hundred years but it didn't seem to change him for the better. Even though Dio didn't mind Lucian killing many of the people Dio warned him that if he were to go after any of his 'friends' that Lucian would pay. To test his resolve Lucian started to ask if it was Dio's friend before he cut them down. Since Dio didn't care about any of them he thought that Dio was just kidding until they took flight and Lucian decided to have a rematch with the party. That's when Dio had the gall to try and stop him. Lucian formed his second cleaver as they started to battle in mid air. Because of the Gui'sa'mir that Delphine gave him Lucian had no chance and decided on a different course of action. He landed behind Enutrof and threatened to remove his head unless Dio would leave him alone. As darkness started to approach from all sides a dozen dark spears flew out from the shadows to pierce him. "You know how much this hurts Dio. It's not funny." But Lucian didn't realize how serious Dio was until he plunged his arm into Lucian's chest. As Dio slowly dominated his body and soul Lucian fought for all that he could and screamed out in pain as though thousands of him just died then his eyes turned white and Lucian Devereaux died his last death. |
