Almost fifty years ago men used people granted with powers,
magiks, from the gods in a war that ravaged the land. Sorcerers and Wizards
used their powers to kill hundreds of thousands of both innocent and non-innocent
people. This war, The Mage War, lasted almost five whole years leaving scars
and bodies accross the lands. Over time the power of the gods had weakened
as people slowly forgot about them and the sorcerers that were used, and
hated because of it, in The Mage War. With less and less magically inclined
people being born into the next generation and many being killed for just
knowing magic it became a rare site to actually know of a mage. As the people
of the lands lived their happy content lives there was a void that was felt
inside. Many people became thieves and brigands to fill the void and to
finally follow a master. For the first time in fifty years a God among men
stood up filling the void that was there
The name Michael swept through the Hullack Forest and out into the surrounding
lands spreading fear and terror where ever it traveled. He took over a castle
for his kingdom, gathered followers for his army, and spread fear in the
hearts of men with the mear mention of his name. Trying to prove a point
to a prisoner from Harfein Micheal's eyes light up when he was asked "so
like you're God?" and Michael continued his speech, "No, I'm not
a God. To be a God you have to get people to believe in you: Jesus, Muhammad,
Buddah. All of the GOOD Gods started out as regular guys and worked their
way up. I mean you got to start somewhere. Christianity wasn't spread by
love. It was spread at the point of a sword. There were crusades, there
were inquisitions, there were soldiers saying, 'Believe or Die!'. The only
difference between that and this is that I'm not gonna wait till I'm dead
to get the ball rolling. And you can be a part of it or you can be in my
way." And Michael did prove his point when he erased the village of
East Cameron from existance along with all of its inhabitants leaving only
Enutrof, Myr, Cade, Kai, Elly, and Jonis who saved them from the 'daisy
cutters' or magical bombs that Michael used to destroy the village.
After Michael attack the city of Miragon, one of the central cities of the
Crimson Knight Empire, the Party was able to convince Sebastian to help
them attack the so-called God Michael. Sebastian took part of his forces
from Miragon through the Gate to Michael's Fort and along with the Party
sieged Michael's Castle destorying the so-called God in a bright flash of
the detonation of a hundred 'daisy cutters'. Nothing survived the blast
except for Sebastian who rose up out of the crater of the Castle to greet
his Knights who from then on treated Sebastian in a different manner. With
the Ying and Yang in an imballance Jonis knew what was to happen since an
evil was destroyed a newer stronger evil will come to take its place but
Jonis didn't know what or WHO this evil is.
As The Seven Eyed Seven Winged Demon Dragon flew through the sky hundreds
of yards in the air above the city of Ceartree and blew both gigantic fireballs
and rays of plasma dozens of meters wide. Hundreds of thousand people lost
their lives as Ceartree was leveled to the grounds with fires spreading
everywhere. A Demon was in the depths of the city below the Academy, the
home of the Knights of Ceartree some of whom were very unique, and exited
through one of the Gates back to the Castle that he found that was held
over a volcano. Elrul brought the Party along with him and although he was
a demon, a creature of whom the people of the land feared, he offered to
help them since they saved his life from Keladis and the Academy, since
they wanted to torture and disect him. Elrul the demon was searching the
lands for his half-sister while Lucian and Dio, creatures of enormous and
mysterous powers, searched the lands for what they desired. Fragments of
Gail's Tomb, a powerful wizard who was a servant of the Ta'na'ri', revealed
secrets that many people including the Party and Sebastian were looking
for.
Gail was a wizard of tremendous power who once tried to gate his demon lord
to this dimension but was unsuccessful. His tomb, which held all the knowledge
that he possessed, was broken up into pieces not to long before he was imprissoned
by his nemesis Garabaldi who was a servant of the Batazzu. The Fragments
of the book possessed knowledge that was unparrelled to what was known and
while Sebastian continued his search for the Spear of Destiny, the only
weapon that can kill him, the Party searched for information on Garabaldi's
hidden Tomb which held information that was thousands of years longer than
Gail's gathered info. Dio Elaclaire was also after something that he knew
his sister, the one that created him and was described at 'The First Born'
, would forbade him from knowing. It seemed that everyone was in search
of their own truths and the first one who finds their truth will either
destroy or save the entire World Of Rul.
If the Party only could know what everyone's intentions were then they would
be able to know who are they ones that they can trust because when ancient
wizards, Vampiric Paladins, Children born upon the death of Cities, Men
who claim to be God, and A Person who has been rejected by all of the Gods
are involved there is no telling which one will turn out good and which
one will be evil.
