" A Path Set On Skulls And Paved In Blood "

special - ' After another failure Jonis contemplates his Mission '

Another one was just feet from his grasp and he was completely ready to do it. He was positive now after he saw it use its power. But before Jonis could do anything Dio stated, "I must go because what I did is unprecidented. I must speak with Delphine and tell her the news." A swirling puddle of darkness opened up beneith Dio's feet and Jonis knew that he might never see it again as he saw it disapear in the puddle. Another one just in his grasp and he was unable to seal it. He had already sealed fived of them and only had eight left one of which he already controlled so he only had seven left. If he knew how hard it was to locate them then he would have never agreed to this job. Not like he had a choice in the first place. It had taken him hundreds of years to seal those five which would mean that it wouldn't be until 1330 or so till he could finally rest. Longinus controled one of them too but lost his control long ago. And for some reason these people seemed to be messed up in the entire story playing their parts just as he plays his. Jonis had always love the annaligy of a chess board and him being one of those pawns. But would it be any better to be a bishop, knight, or castle because all of those pieces are secondary to the top piece. Any of those pieces can be lost and you can still win and Jonis didn't like those odds.

Jonis knew what would be asked of his friends by Longinus. He knew because he had been keeping an eye on Longinus for much longer than these past fourty years. Longinus just can't let someone live who claims to be or is even a god so he will try and take him down. Jonis knew that Longinus had grown complacent and soft since he had nothing to fear these many years. Besides one of them will be bound to show up during this confrontation of super powers and Jonis should be there to seal it.
"I may have always chosen the sidelines to watch everything happen but this is one time time that I am actually routing for one side," Jonis whispered as he followed along behind them.
