- Character Notes -
Jonis is a wondering Fuda salesman who sells protective magic and lucky charms to anyone he meets for the low-low price of 50gp each. He uses to name of Mataichi to greet people because he thinks that power lies in knowing someone's name, so he rarely tells it to anyone. He found himself in East Cameron along with the Party but for different reasons. Myr accidently bumped into him when the Party first entered the town. Mataichi found out about Micheal's magical bombs and set up a protective field and liking something about the Party basically told them to join him in the circle. Mataichi doesn't seem to know anything about Micheal but defintally has more power then he lets on since the town of East Cameron no longer exists and they were in the middle of the devistating explosion yet survived.

He has since told the Party that his name is Jonis. He didn't tell them before because he thought that they were the ones that he was searching for. however he has since corrected his mistakes and saved the party's life as well as his own. After finding Dio and learning his name from the Party as well as their past afiliations he told them what he knew concering Dio his sister and their family. He held Dio's hand as they walked through the caves feeling sorry for what fate had befallen Dio. After they exited Melaar's Cavern and found their way to a small cave, Jonis dissapeared when the Party went out to search.

Showing himself to the Party after they came through the Gate Jonis was surprised that Dio just didn't travel here directly because "I thought that he was able to travel farther than that. Must have been a reason he stayed behind to use the Gate" That aside it seems that Jonis has an invested interest in Sebastian because of all the times that the Party saw him casually looking at Sebastian as if he is waiting for something to happen.

It was a surprise to Jonis that Dio would even dare fight one of his siblings. In the old times none of them would ever think of going against Delphine's orders. However what interested Jonis was during the battle Dio's chain-and-knife change and finally showed its true potential. The Gui'sa'mir, it must be, thought Jonis to himself and if it was true then he would have to act. After Dio did the final death on his brother Jonis approached him looking at the now dagger. Jonis gripped his staff making the hops roll around. The only thing that he could hear was Longenous's words, "we need to talk," which seemed very out of character for him.

Jonis knew that Dio would come back sooner or later to meet up with the Party again because he seemed to have made some sort of connection with them. So Jonis decided to follow along with them for that fact and also he wanted to see what the outcome would be. Besides he would have to travel along if he ever wanted to complete his mission. So Jonis followed the Party through the Gate to see what they were going to do. Like he was told to do Jonis stood back by the sidelines only watching the battle take place. Besides with a dozen rogues, two broken clay golems, and Moray the Party would be able to easily handle the problem to which they faced. Jonis waited with the Knights while the Party went to search for Charisma's friends. When Sebastian finally mobalized his army Jonis marched along beside them and since Sebastian didn't pay any attention to him everyone thought that it was fine. The army assembled outside of Micheal's Castle as Sebastian went in along with Jonis quickly following behind with the Party in tow. Jonis could feel one of them close by and knew that Micheal had to be the one who was carrying it. He just hoped that Micheal didn't figure out to powers of the weapon.

When Jonis saw the Iron Golem advance on the Party he didn't think that anyone of them had a weapon strong enough to harm it. He knew what he had to do since he was the only one who could do it, "Don't worry about the Iron Golem, I'll hold it off." Jonis used his small body and quick movements to try and stay ahead of the slowed golem. He was soon joined by Clive who used 'Shadows Bane' to do some damage to the golem. Sebastians body fell close behind him and Jonis looked back and up at Micheal who was pulling Kusanagi out of his gauntlet of holding. As Micheal created the 'circle of fire' Jonis told everyone to scatter since he knew it only had the width of a normal fireball spell. He wasn't quick enough and some of the Party was hurt by the explosion. Sebastian slammed Micheal through the large doors that led into the chapel and Jonis left the battle leaving the rest to Clive as he followed along. Jonis stood to the side in the shadows waiting for the right time and after Kolos was defeated by Myr he saw that Micheal was loosing his control. So Jonis sprang into action and used his staff to see Kusanagi's powers in the sword so no one else could use it. Sebastian slammed Micheal again right into the altar as Jonis went to fetch the sword. Jonis opened up the little box that he had been carrying all of this time and gently placed the sword inside so 'he' could take over and hide it from people who would abuse the swords power.

For the first time Jonis was happy that Longinus was here when he prevented Micheal from detonating those 'daisy cutters'. Jonis was also surprise that Longinus gave everyone some time to run away from the explosion that he will cause soon. The Castle was enveloped in the resulting explosion and taken off of the map forever. Yet another one sealed thought Jonis as he was sitting around a fire with the Party. However, Jonis knew that he had to continue with his travels so he decided to part ways with the Party. However with Dio's show in Miragon Jonis knew that he would be meeting up with them again sometime soon.
